Abstract
Addressing climate change is a critical priority. Regulatory frameworks establish constraints and limitations, while growing societal awareness significantly influences the evolution of projects that prioritise the interaction between natural and built environments. Land use changes cause these dynamics and result from them, often contributing to increased hydrogeological risks in specific regions. Moreover, advancements in technology and the emergence of intelligent systems enable the creation of innovative solutions. Research on cutting-edge green roof systems and the integration of design strategies using Building Information Modelling (BIM) methodologies demonstrate measurable progress in stormwater management and the mitigation of extreme weather events.
