Abstract
Widespread landslides characterise the small urban centres of the Daunia Sub-Apennines in Apulia, placing them in a fragile state. A PRIN TEArch activity, illustrated here, focuses on the study of risk maps in this context. The goal is to build an archive of knowledge materials for the area to support vulnerability management in architectural design. Observation of the maps highlights the increased frequency of landslides near the villages, demonstrating the reciprocal relationship between human pressure and the environment. Hence, the activity produced integrated risk maps along with an abacus of the main technical architectures already used as mitigation strategies in some local applications. This serves to summarise the data and create a user-friendly consultation tool for subsequent pre-project and meta-project phases.
