Abstract

Technological culture has greatly influenced urban design in Turin throughout the various phases of its history. In this framework, theory and practice are as one, given that outstanding technical solutions make it possible to put an ‘idea’ of the city into practice. This article illustrates the research on projects developed in recent years using metal structures. The projects in question are so specific and peculiar that they have had a decisive impact on the urban structure itself.
