We are thrilled to announce that HerpeThon, the traditional Herpetological Marathon organized by the Societas Herpetologica Italica, is returning in 2025! This year, the organizers are the members of the newly formed SHI Campania section, which was established earlier this year.

From April 2nd to September 18th, a variety of herpetological-themed events will take place across Italy, including meetings, debates, excursions, conferences, exhibitions, and more. This year's theme will be "Amphibians and Reptiles: Myths, Reality, and Conservation." While this theme will guide the events, the rich program features events focused on other herpetological topics relevant to the public. As usual, the goal of the Herpetological Marathon is to keep the events accessible to all audiences by taking a non-technical approach.

Siamo entusiasti di annunciare che HerpeThon, la tradizionale Maratona Erpetologica organizzata dalla Societas Herpetologica Italica, tornerà nel 2025! Quest’anno, gli organizzatori sono i membri della nuova sezione SHI Campania, nata all'inizio di quest'anno.

Dal 2 aprile al 18 settembre, una varietà di eventi a tema erpetologico si terranno in tutta Italia, tra cui incontri, dibattiti, escursioni, conferenze, esposizioni e molto altro. La tematica di quest’anno sarà "Anfibi e rettili: Miti, realtà e conservazione". Sebbene questa tematica orienti gli eventi, il ricco programma include anche eventi su altri argomenti erpetologici di rilevanza per il pubblico. Come sempre, l’obiettivo di HerpeThon è rendere gli eventi accessibili a tutti, adottando un approccio volutamente non tecnico.
