Abstract

Education for environmental sustainability is the main instrument for the dissemination of a new social and cultural approach that, based on the objectives of the 2030 Agenda, is directed towards the critical and responsible co-construction of knowledge and attitudes aimed at social and environmental justice. This article is part of this research perspective and will observe, through a qualitative approach based on the analysis of two case studies, the actions and educational strategies for environmental sustainability implemented in the Latin American context (specifically in Colombia) and in the European context (specifically in Italy). The aim is to explore education for environmental sustainability through the use of digital platforms and systems and how this educational approach responds in both case studies to target 4.7 of Agenda 2030 and to the vision of education as a transformative tool of their socio-cultural realities.
