Abstract
Televisione e famiglia sono reciprocamente coinvolte sotto molti aspetti, e la famiglia costituisce una presenza ubiqua e trasversale in televisione. Il genere più fortemente orientato alla famiglia resta tuttavia la fiction. A partire da tale premessa, l’articolo presenta un excursus dei modi in cui, nel mezzo secolo e oltre della sua storia, la fiction italiana ha prodotto narrazioni e costruito differenti rappresentazioni di vita familiare, tenendo conto, pur senza rispecchiarle, delle trasformazioni che la famiglia stava attraversando nella realtà sociale del Paese.
