Abstract
This paper examines a still unnoticed telestich in Hor. c. 1.11: stylistic evidence, contextual elements and poetical intentions lead us to believe that the lusus is intentional. Moreover, the wordplay helps to focus on the author’s artistry, in order to get a better comprehension of the Augustan poet.
