Abstract
The contribution provides a new annotated edition, following an autopsy, of CIL XI 2596: a small bronze tablet coming from Montalcino, in the territory of Roman Clusium, in which is engraved an integration or an extract of the will of a Granius Pudens, veteran of the praetorian cohorts. It intended to provide for a perpetual celebration of the testator’s birthday, in connection with the cult of Mithras.
