Abstract

The Hesiodic Catalogue of Women (Ehoiai) and the Megalai Ehoiai were not two different works, but two versions of the same poem: the Catalogue was the text established by the Alexandrian scholars, while the Megalai Ehoiai are to be traced back to the Pergamene school.
