Abstract

A philological discussion of the problems presented by this passage of Aristotle’s Poetics leads us to conclude that there is a corruption and a conjecture is needed: Aristotle is blaming the artists (poets, actors, musicians) who consider all the elements of tragedy as “equally important”.
