Abstract
The author identifies a new manuscript extract from Ps. Apollodorus’s Bibliotheca (2.26-29) in an exemplar of Virgil’s opera omnia published in Rome in 1471 (now, Paris, BnF, Rés g. Yc. 236). This item was owned by Angelo Poliziano, who copied the Apollodorean excerpt from manuscript R (Paris, BnF, gr. 2722), which is the archetype of the whole manuscript tradition of the Bibliotheca. This discovery is quite relevant because the folio of R containing Apollod. 2.26-29 is currently missing. An edition of the extract, with a short commentary, is provided at the end of the essay.
