Abstract
In Cicero’s dialogue, Antonius appears to follow in Gorgias’ steps when he asserts that rhetorical skill is enough even without a detailed knowledge of a given topic, while Crassus, championing the opposite view, is probably under the influence of Hippias’ theories.
