Abstract
This paper presents a new edition of Michael Psellos’ work Περὶ ῥητορικῆς (On rhetoric). It appears that Psellos knew the complete text of Longinus’ Ars rhetorica. Keeping in mind Psellos’ working method, we may try to reconstruct the lost Ars by Longinus. The appendix presents the text of the work Περὶ τῶν καθ᾽ ἡμᾶς θείων ἀριθμῶν (De nostris divinis numeris), which is handed down by the same manuscript and is almost certainly a genuine work by Psellos.
