Abstract
Bacchylides Dith. 18.16-19 S.-M. owes something to Solon fr. 2.1-2 G.-P., in reworking themes of the Themistoclean propaganda in order to praise Cimon as a new Theseus and a new Solon. Timocreon PMG 727.4-10, in turn, exploits against Themistocles the themes of Solon fr. 30.8-15 G.-P.
