Abstract

In the light of Aristoph. Ran. 1361 and Plaut. Stich. 729-747, Phot. δ 665 (Theodoridis) can be better understood: Doris ‘bears two flames’, i.e. has to lovers, and the fragment probably comes from Menander’s Adelphoe I.
