Abstract

This fragment reworks mythical elements from the Orphic and Mithraic traditions placing them in the frame of more recent theological speculation, at the same time echoing the allegorical reading of the image of the bees at Il. 2.87 ff. At line 16, the true reading is αὐτοθελής.
