Abstract

Study on the relevance of rhythm in Aristides’ Hymns to Sarapis and to Dionysus. Aristides takes care to apply his theoretical ideas with a great skill and sense of nuances. A comparison with his model Demosthenes is groundless, though, since no correspondence between rhythm and content can be found in his works.
