Abstract

In his fragments on the nature of things, Zeno tries to demonstrate the unity of the abstract world, leaving aside the plurality characteristic of physical phenomena. The aim of his paradoxes is to show that the physical world cannot consist of indivisible units (i.e. points), since such a model would make any movement impossible.
