Abstract

Aristotle and the Peripatetic tradition did not confuse  with , as some later authors believed: Plutarch, on the contrary, was closer to Aristotelian doctrine when he condemned anger as πάθος ἄλογον and recommended ἀοργησία(which means absence of anger, not indifference).
