Abstract
The last lines of P.Col. 7511 describe a complete sexual intercourse: the girl, at first frightened, seems to surrender to her seducer. The poem should be read in the light of this interpretation and it can be assumed that Critias had this poem in mind when he said that Archilochus was μοιχός, λάγνος and ὑβριστής (adulterer, lecherous, and violent).
