Abstract

The two manuscripts discussed in the previous part of this study (“Prometheus” 18, 1992, 193-215) are closely linked with Zonaras’ Epitome historiarum, especially the excerpts from the Lives of Alexander and Caesar: the common source must have been a summary of Plutarch’s Lives, maybe produced by Zonaras himself before writing his own historical work.
