The relationship of speech and psychic entities in early Greek poetry

Abstract

A detailed analysis shows that in early Greek poetry the varying relationship between speech and psychic entities such as θυμός, φρήν/φρένες, νόος, ἦτορ, κῆρ, κραδίη, and ψυχή, highlights different qualities of these entities themselves.
