Abstract

An emendation to Plutarch’s De sollertia animalium 963f: the transmitted text must be corrected in περὶ τοῦ πάθους, because it is hardly credible that Plutarch confutes Peripatetics, as he does with Stoics. The author also corrects δίκαιον in ἄδικον in Theophrast fr. 584a, which is the source of Plutarch’s Soll. an. 964e-f.
