Abstract

Aegaeus’ scene (Med. 764 ff.) is highly relevant in the frame of this tragedy, and also in relation to Plautus’ Pseudolus (v. 667 ff.). Affinities may be further discovered with Aesch. (Ag. 53 ff. and 810 ff.) and Plaut. (Rud. 220-58 and 485-558).
