Some manuscripts of Ausonius

Abstract

Ferrarius’ excerpta came down to us through Benzo’s Chronicle. Benzo himself handed down the sections left out by Ferrarius in an abridged shape, as well as the sections on Narbonne and Bordeaux. This hypothesis allows us to reconstruct different affiliations and to give a better evaluation of Ausonius’ manuscripts (in particular of the Veronensis).
