Abstract

The Trojan version of Laodice’s myth is conflated with the Attic variation during the Hellenistic age, perhaps for the first time in Lycophron, Al. 494-503, who may be the beginner of the mythological polemic that appears in Paus. 10.26.7 and perhaps in Euphor. fr. 58 P. and Parth. 16.
