Abstract

An answer to Giannini (“QUCC” 94, 2010). My new metrical interpretation of Sapph. 96 V. (“Prometheus” 35, 2009) – 1. trochaic penthemimeres + choriamb, 2. antispastic trimeter, 3. choriamb + iambic penthemimeres – is possible: the antispastic trimeter occurs in Alc. 70 V.
