Abstract
The paper deals with the papyrus fragments of Euripides’ tragedy Hypsipyle. On the ground of Cockle’s reconstruction of the order of the columns in P.Oxy. 852, it is possible to find a more exact and suitable collocation for the athletic games in honour of Opheltes-Archemoros. The victory of Hypsipyle’s twins in the games leads the dramatic action to its conclusion, with the reunion between mother and sons.
