Abstract
According to the most plausible textual arrangement of § 13 in the newly rediscovered Περὶ λυπίας of Galen, a copy of Aristarchus’ edition of both of the Homeric poems, provided with (autograph?) critical annotations by him, was available in late IInd century Rome. This annotated edition proves to fit well with the designation ἐπεκδοθεῖσα διόρθωσις attested to by Aristarchus’ pupil Ammonius with reference to the Iliad.
