Abstract
Il Ventesimo secolo ha visto il cinema come suo fedele testimone e interprete, ma non solo. Di fatto, con il cinema, l’immagine è diventata l’elemento fondante di ogni processo di conoscenza. Attraverso il cinema, ciascun settore dello scibile umano è stato rappresentato e interpretato: storia, filosofia, religione, scienza, politica, pedagogia. Ogni film costituisce un documento antropologico del proprio tempo e dalla sua fruizione intere generazioni hanno costruito la loro Weltanschauung. Inoltre, il cinema, per le sue stesse modalità comunicative, rappresenta anche una via per andare oltre la realtà e avvicinarci al mistero.
The 20th century has seen cinema as its faithful witness and interpreter, but not only. In fact, with cinema, the image has become the basic element of every knowledge process. Through cinema, every section of human knowledge has been represented and interpreted: history, philosophy, religion, science, politics, education. Each movie is an anthropological document of its own time and, enjoying cinema, entire generations have built their Weltanschauung. Besides, cinema, for its own manners of ommunications represents also a way to go beyond reality and get nearer the Mystery.
