IL VALORE EDUCATIVO DEL DIGITAL STORYTELLING

Abstract

Il presente articolo intende proporre un contributo per una riflessione sulla valenza educativa del digital storytelling che può diventare uno strumento prezioso per la didattica. La modalità narrativa che lo caratterizza può veicolare facilmente contenuti astratti e apparentemente complessi per gli studenti, con il vantaggio di facilitarne il coinvolgimento, attivando processi come quello dell’identificazione e favorendo un apprendimento significativo ed efficace.
Le domande alla base del presente studio riguardano sia gli apprendimenti e le competenze sostenute e promosse dal digital storytelling sia la possibilità di individuare linee guida e buone pratiche per la sua realizzazione, con riferimento anche alle ricerche attualmente in corso.

This article intends to propose a contribution on the reflection about the educational value of digital storytelling, which as the potential of becoming a very useful teaching and learning tool. Throughout the narrative discourse, digital storytelling can easily vehiculate abstract and complex contents to the students, offering advantages in terms of students’ engagement and stimulating processes such as identification for a deep and meaningful learning.
The research questions of the study concern the competencies and skills enhanced by the method of digital storytelling and the opportunity to define guidelines, specific procedures and best practices for this methodology, even with reference to the state of the art of the research.
