Abstract

Through unpublished worksite documentation, this contribution reconstructs the construction phases of the new en-trance to Santa Maria Novella Station, built between 1989 and 1990 based on a design by Gae Aulenti, with Bianca Ballesterto. The photographs, executive drawings and worksite diary preserved in the archives of the construction company highlight significant aspects of the design and construction, shedding light on construction techniques and changes made during the works that are fundamental for the proper conservation and preservation of this impor-tant project by Gae Aulenti in Florence.
