Abstract
The restoration of modern architecture requires a shared methodological framework that combines preliminary analysis, close dialogue with clients, and collaboration between designers and contractors. The case of Torre al Parco in Milan (1953–56, V. Magistretti and F. Longoni), restored by Belluschi in 2023–24, involved historical, visual, and diagnostic surveys to document stratifications and to interpret the original design intentions. The project focused on preserving the architectural image, recovering construction details, and implementing respectful upgrades to building services, while addressing issues of decay and functionality. Mediation with a diverse private ownership proved integral to the process, showing how awareness-raising and technical experimentation can converge into strategies that balance conservation requirements with contemporary living needs.
