Abstract

The paper examines the theme of female cross-dressing as a transgression and overcoming of an ethical limes as identity fiction. The article takes into consideration some fifteenth century Latin theatrical texts with particular attention to the comedies of the humanist Tito Livio Frulovisi whose plots concern the motif of disguise and other literary and narratological suggestions (clara.fossati@unige.it).
