Le soglie del tempo. Passaggi e crocevia delle età nel racconto delle donne

Abstract

Taking into account the determining role that time has in the work of several contemporary lady writers, this essay aims at tracing out a way through the narrative description of the different ages of life. Lady writers are particularly interested in the so – called “time faults”, that is the intermediate stages between youth and maturity as well as between maturity and old age: they are suitable for changes of mind, net results, new projects and they are always followed by a strong wish to revive and to rebuild one’s own identity.
