Abstract
La «Aljaba. Segunda Época: Revista de Estudios de la Mujer» is the first Women’s Studies magazine collectively edited by three national universities in the República Argentina. It was born in 1996 with the co-direction of Nélida Bonaccorsi of the Universidad Nacional del Comahue; María Herminia Di Liscia of the Universidad Nacional de La Pampa, and Cecilia Lagunas of the Universidad Nacional de Luján. From the beginning, an annual volume has been published reflecting the results of research and actions carried out within the framework of Gender Studies and Women’s History. The articles published by the journal always aim to deconstruct validated hegemonic discourses as unique and true, and to a critical stance the dogmas legitimized by cultures and societies. Two of the journal’s important objectives are to promote studies from a perspective that rescues women’s voices, experiences and testimonies on the one hand; and on the other, to impact socially through the organization and dissemination of activities that promote the modification of sexist and patriarchal cultural patterns.
