Italian Translations of Ukrainian Poetry and Prose from the End of the 20th to the First Decade of the 21st Century

Abstract

This is an outline of the translations of Ukrainian literary works published in Italy over the last twenty years. The Author also gives some information about translations published in the periods following the First and Second World Wars. Moreover, the Author presents the difficulties translators and publishers face in their efforts to make Ukrainian literature better known in Italy, and briefly touches upon the translations of Russian-language Ukrainian literature and of literature on Ukrainian subjects written in other languages.
