Abstract

The mission of a scientific society is to spread knowledge in its field of interest through the most qualified channels, such as the magazines and books of the scientifically indexed publications that are, by all means, the most internationally recognized way of exchanging culture and information. In the Internet Age, search engines are able to offer real-time research and articles of relevant influence, allowing a great selection and management of information useful to make scientific advancement. SITdA, along with its other available forms of communication (web site, blog, news) has decided to establish its own scientific journal. SITdA could have pointed out some magazines as «selected» and «encouraged» references; it could have ignored the issue of spreading knowledge through old-fashioned hardcopy magazines; it could have maximized its more interactive forms of communication, assuming the fact that an article read by many people guarantees the value of its innovative research. Instead, we considered it proper and appropriate to choose the traditional form of the Scientific Society journal.…..(continua)
