Abstract

This document describes a research project carried out in the Ph.D. course in Civil Engineering at Mediterranea University of Reggio Calabria. The project is part of a doctoral dissertation entitled “Experimentation of laminas in composites materials reinforced with vegetable fibres for the construction sector”. The research is placed in a general context of studies on advanced materials in the architectural industry, and particularly on biocomposites. The project concerned the design and the characterization of laminas in NFRP, natural fibre reinforced polymers, and it aims to obtain an environmental, economic and social sustainable material. In particular, biobased raw materials and their production process have been subject of the study.
