Abstract

The present contribution aims at inserting itself in the current debate concerning the most recent legislative evolution regarding the different gradations of design, with particular regard to the production of the Executive Design. The same, in fact, as it is known and developed to date, must now be considered obsolete because of the new digital developments that will constitute the real challenge of our immediate future. Therefore, rather than dwelling on the roles and organisational characteristics of the “classic” production process related to the Executive Design, it was decided to try to critically deal with the latest legislative interventions concerning our Tender Procurement Code and new available (digital) tools. In recent years, the focus on design tools, linked above all to the complex construction process of architecture, have in fact returned to an extreme relevance especially a er the issue of European-wide directives aimed at improving the e ciency of the production system.
