Abstract

These pages illustrate ongoing research investigating the theme of the relations between Building Construction, industrialization, ICT and procedural and design choices from the standpoint of quality and environmental sustainability in industry 4.0 and in light of new regulations and technological innovations. This research is currently undergoing testing with several Public Administrations, exploring the possibility of a SMART Network digital platform model based on a SMART System:  innovative, adaptive and dynamic, offering decisional support to Building Process phases.  A SMART System is not only an intelligent system but is also inclusive, shared and has (4.0) social, environmental, economic and industrial implications in BIM, for new role of the designer in Open Source perspective.
