L'impiego dei fogli elettronici per il calcolo della disponibiltà a pagare in valutazioni contingenti a domanda chiusa e 'double bounded'

Abstract

The assessment of the willingness to pay in contingent valuation problems requires, especially in dichotomous choice models, the use of specialized software, more or less complex and expensive. The purpose of this paper is to propose two simple models, implemented on normal spreadsheets, able to provide a first estimate of the average, median and other useful information of the willingness to pay. These data can be helpful for a first analysis of the results or for the planning of a following phase of studies, as in the case of the pre-tests. The first model draws a series of monetary values starting from the ranges of the answers in a double-bounded format. The second implements an algorithm of optimization of maximum likelihood and a grid search model to facilitate the research of initial values of the parameters.
