Knowledge and skills. A possible meeting

Abstract

The essay focuses on the relationship between knowledge and skills, to identify the anchoring points that allow a non-antagonistic and integrated interpretation of these two aspects of learning. The principals on which to build this mediation processes are identified in the distinction proposed by Gardner (2009) between Matter (the set of knowledge related to a scientific domain) and discipline (the processes from which the individual sciences build knowledge around their object of study), as well as in the concept of Abitus (Dewey, 2014; Baldacci, 2006) understood as the set of permanent provisions of subjectivity.

Saperi e competenze. Un incontro possibile.

Il saggio focalizza la riflessione sul rapporto tra saperi e competenze, allo scopo di individuare i punti di ancoraggio che consentono una interpretazione non antagonista e integrata di questi due versanti dell’apprendimento. I presidi sui quali costruire i processi di mediazione vengono individuati nella distinzione proposta da Gardner (2009) tra Materia (l’insieme delle conoscenze afferenti a un dominio scientifico) e disciplina (i processi a partire dai quali le singole scienze costruiscono conoscenza intorno al loro oggetto di studio), nonché nel concetto di Abitus (Dewey, 2014; Baldacci, 2006) inteso come l’insieme delle disposizioni permanenti della soggettività.
