Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is 1,5 or double spaced and pages must be numbered; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses).
  • Tables, figures, graphs have to be sent separately. In the main document it must be clearly indicated the point where to include them. Graphs must include the data sources (in .xls or .jpeg format). Figures have to be in black and white.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Authors are required to submit two documents, containing the following elements:

1. Author(s) Contact Details and Short Bio:

  • title of the article (also in English)
  • author(s)' names and affiliations
  • a short biography of no more than 100 words for each author (also in English)
  • contact details for the corresponding author (including full postal and email addresses as well as telephone and fax numbers)

2. Main document (Article):

  • title of the article (also in English)
  • abstract of 150-200 words (in English)
  • 3-6 keywords (in English)
  • the full article including references - please make sure that the article file is anonymized and does not contain any information identifying the author(s)

Articles should be max 12.000 words in length (including footnotes and references, excluding tables and figures). Please print a word count at the end of the text.

Pages must be 1,5 or double spaced and numbered.

Articles must be sent by e-mail (Word document) to the QOE-IJES Editor Prof. Mario Caciagli (caciagli@unifi.it).

Proposals may be submitted in Italian as well as in English, French, German and Spanish.

All papers must be original or should be not submitted, under review or published in other scientific journals.
