Abstract
Brief introduction to the Thematic Block Lexicon of the Slavic Bible and Its Meaning for the History of Slavic Manuscript Tradition
Marcello Garzaniti is a full professor at the University of Florence. He currently teaches courses on Slavic philology and comparative Slavic literatures. He has been a visiting professor in Kiev, Moscow, Münster, Novosibirsk, Paris (ÉPHÉ, 2006, 2018), Sankt-Petersburg, Vienna, and Würzburg. He has held fellowships in Germany (Humboldt Stiftung, 1997-1998) and the USA (Harvard University, 2004). He is a member of Mediaevistenverband (Germany), Early Slavic Association (USA), Academy La Colombaria (Firenze), Ambrosian Academy (Milano). He served as president of the Italian Association of Slavists from 2009-2014, and since 2013 has been president of the Biblical Commission of the International Committee of Slavists. Since 2018 he has served as president of the Editorial Council of the Firenze University Press.

Alberto Alberti obtained a PhD in Slavistics at the “Sapienza” University of Rome, with his dissertation The Gospel of Ivan Aleksandăr and 14th-Century Balkans. Since 2004 he has been a member of the editorial board and layout editor of “Studi Slavistici”. Since 2006 he has been part of the Scientific Committee of “CESECOM – Center of Studies on Central and Eastern Europe in the Middle Ages” <http://cesecom.fupress.com>. Since 2014 he has been a member of the Biblical Commission of the International Committee of Slavists. Since 2020 he has been a member of the Scientific Committee of “Europe in Between – History, Cultures and Languages from Central Europe to the Eurasian Steppes” <https://fupress.com/collane/europe-in-between--histories-cultures-and-languages-from-central-europe-to-the-eurasian-steppes/136>. Formerly an adjunct professor at the universities of Bologna, Ferrara and Verona, he is now an associate professor in Slavic studies (L-LIN/21) at the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures (LILEC) of the University of Bologna, where he teaches Slavic philology (since 2011). His main research interest is the Slavonic textual tradition and its relationship with the Greek tradition.
