Abstract
This paper presents the research and experimentation that led to the development of a metal cladding element, part of a dry construction system for roofing and facades, designed to offer the market a product for use in new constructions and renovation. The project was initiated by a request from an Italian business for the Università Iuav di Venezia to assist in innovating the company’s products and production processes to meet the new technical and aesthetic demands of the market. The report describes the working methodology used to create the system through a design process using digital methods and 3D prototyping.
