Abstract
The European development policies, related to the connection between University research and the productive and industrial fields, are oriented to the enhancement of knowledge as a new capital and structural foundation of the economy and social development.
Through the activities of the Third Mission of the Universities, the original knowledge produced by scientific research is actively transformed into a productive knowledge, susceptible to economic and commercial applications, with signi cant attention to the emerging cultural and social dimension of TM: the public engagement.
