About the Journal
AIMS
The journal aims to serve as a tool for connecting disciplines that are already interconnected.
The journal welcomes contributions from various related disciplines, particularly strategy and business management, economic geography, and sociology, to better address the study and understanding of the economic and social complexity of today's world.
It is an opportunity to invite scholars to reflect not only on analytical contributions but also on an intercultural, interdisciplinary with a broad vision.
It provides the InCreaSe Association, which already has a history of refereed scientific volumes, with a communication tool that collects interdisciplinary cultural products of excellence. However, the journal maintains autonomy from the association; the exchange and interaction between the two will be mutually beneficial.
The journal aims to bring innovative experiences to the territorial contexts in which it operates and to enhance existing ones to give substance and life to reflections on the economic and social changes of our time.
The journal does not address exclusive topics but welcomes all contributions as long as they are consistent with its scientific and ethical principles, which can broaden its research horizons.
The journal aims to develop topics suitable for the rapid social and economic evolution of our times.

The journal is guided by the ethical urgency to identify, delve into, and highlight economic, social, and territorial scenarios that prioritize the well-being of people in harmony with the planet and all the species inhabiting it.
MACROTHEMES
Strategy and Business Management:
The strategy and business management section focuses on major changes that affect the economy and management of businesses and their future strategic actions. The strategy and business management section aims to contribute to the development of knowledge on the perspectives of some major themes that involve the economy and management of businesses and their stakeholders in a macroenvironment characterized by:
- Continuous and dynamic change in its variables.
- Constant innovation is brought by technologies and artificial intelligence.
- The need for corporate social responsibility.
- The need to create value sustainably.
- Attention to effective governance that can reconcile the various interests of the company, the individual, and society.
Some research themes on which the strategy and business management section, from an interdisciplinary perspective, intends to focus include:
- Major ethical and social responsibility issues involving all stakeholders toward the company, including management.
- Governance models of global enterprises and SMEs in relation to the challenges of social responsibility they are called to face.
- Management and managerial direction models faced with the need to advance ESG practices.
- The effects on the organization of people operating in companies are brought about by major changes driven by the introduction of new technologies, artificial intelligence, digital development, and the metaverse.
- The study of the impacts of sustainability actions on business activities and its functional areas such as marketing, organization, finance, personnel management, and production.
- The identification and study of case studies and best practices of Corporate Social Responsibility.
Sociology:
The sociology section aims to explore and improve societal well-being through the following contributions:
- Identifying factors that enhance the happiness and well-being of workers within companies and the broader socio-economic and cultural context.
- Exploring the precursors to the NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) condition and evaluating effective practices for reintegrating NEETs into the community.
- Contributing to the integration and inclusion processes of immigrants and refugees, through intercultural mediation and assessment of public and private services in this sector.
- Reflecting on economic and ecological aspects of consumption, with a focus on the role of critical consumption among young people as a measure of reflexivity and personal responsibility.
Economic Geography:
The contribution of the geographical discipline aims to monitor and interpret the processes that move the world system in a changing logic over time and space to develop possible scenarios for a sustainable future for society, the economy, and the environment. Particular attention will be given to the following topics:
- Ongoing economic, social, and environmental changes and their implications for territorial organization (at various geographical scales) and international relations.
- Alternative scenarios for organizing the economic system in the perspective of ecological transition.
- Monitoring the achievement of the goals of the 2030 Agenda in reducing poverty and inequalities on different scales.
- The role of finance for sustainability and inclusion.
- Security, food sovereignty, and territorialization of the agri-food sector.
- Causes and consequences of migrations.
- New typologies of tourism for local development.
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
In line with its interdisciplinary purpose, the journal will publish special issues on topics that allow for scientific contributions from multiple disciplines, both nationally and internationally.
Articles will be written primarily by academics, with the possibility of co-author collaborations by professionals. Each issue will feature an introduction by an expert introducing the theme of the issue. A section of the journal will be dedicated to reviews of contributions relevant to the thematic subject of the issue. Articles will be written in Italian or English. Titles and abstracts must be in both Italian and English. Some issues will be published entirely in English.
Each article should be approximately 12 pages/words in length, including title, English abstract, and bibliography. Contributions of three types will be accepted:
- Theoretical contributions or original articles. The original articles will be distributed as follows: 3 strategy and management, 2 economic geography, 2 sociology.
- Qualitative or Quantitative studies.
- Case studies that study a phenomenon applied to reality.
