Abstract
Child-to-parent violence, defined as the mistreatment of parents, especially mothers, by their children, reflects a cultural crisis and a new form of intersectional oppression. In Italy, this issue is understudied but increasingly common, often going unreported due to parents’ difficulties in disclosing abuse and the lack of dedicated services. Interventions, mainly legal and therapeutic, are usually applied in severe cases. A preventive educational approach, the Nonviolent Resistance (NVR), aims to address this issue by strengthening parents’ resilience and building social support networks, offering an innovative way to support vulnerable families.
