Abstract

Toys are tools with an extremely social education purpose and are part of the history of an era. This article aims to analyze how, during the Fascist era and in particular in Naples, apparently stand-alone activities, such as playing games, are gradually placed in contexts of ideological significance. With a recognition of the history on games, and on the production of toys in the first half of the 20th century, important aspects of education at the time of Fascism are investigated in order to trace the childhood heritage determined from, being sons or daughters of fascists or not, and born in a city or in a remote and rural are.
